This is how I am feeling, folks:
(image via f minus)
Sorry for the delay in posting! Very eventful weekend. Still full but now I have some Christmas shopping done! I started making some gifts last night (I recommend all of you go to the Michael's clearance section immediately! They have tons of fun stuff over there right now and they are discontinuing a bunch of Martha Stewart stuff that I got for 99 cents each, baby!). No wedding stuff unless you count some feathers I bought for my fascinator. Still waiting to hear from the caterer. Clearly, I will keep you posted.
Also, there are 3 soon to be relatives engaged and getting married. I feel like this may be highlighting some of the things we have decided on in an extra bright light. For example, not registering which leads to no showers ( I am preferring to hopefully have 'making tons of decorations and eating fancy pizza and drinking' parties). Any of you in a similiar boat? I haven't felt this weird and out of place since high school.
How was your holiday weekend?
and on a floral note:Aren't these wonderful?

Day of Regret, Shame & Sweatpants
I am pleasantly surprised with how the majority of yesterday went. Food was good (and the guests enjoyed it!) My favorite thing I made was this. Probably because it contained a trifecta of awesomeness: butter, sugar & maple syrup. Sadly, however the day ended with a clogged sink and a car (mine) that won't start. It is horribly rainy out and the last thing I want to do is deal with mechanics (especially new ones, I was fiercely loyal to someone in my old neighborhood). So maybe on the bright side I am forced to do nothing but craft today? We'll see about that. I did, however, spend time 'beautifying' my craft room and organizing most of my materials into bins and a large shoe caddy on the back of the door. I need some sunshine and some good luck on this Black Friday.
Here is some eye candy while I put off getting anything done today (other than drinking tons of coffee with pumpkin eggnog in it. You better believe it's as good as it sounds)
(awesome diy garland on once wed)

Happy (early) Friday!
So I have decided the 2 worst things about mornings are:
1- waking up (especially after getting up over and over to tend to screaming/cuddling cats only to look at the clock and see its that time again)
2- when your shower is over and you have to turn off the hot water
but on a good note, tomorrow I can sleep in! I have a looong weekend which will hopefully lead to crafting and light meals after the motherload on Thursday. Wish me luck cooking for 25 and actually getting any crafting/christmas shopping done this weekend!
Have a great holiday!
P.S. I reallly love this:

This Tornado Loves You (aka I can't stop listening to Neko Case)
Is it just me or would both of these 'thanksgiving centerpiece ideas' be gorgeous as wedding centerpieces too?
Also:
I saw a friend the other night and we are planning on hitting up the local farmers markets in the spring/summer to check out the selection. These are exactly what I was thinking of:
(i think from style me pretty)
I totally love her hair and am drooling on my keyboard over it.

on my honor
(image via rock n'roll bride)
Still spending my time (I was going to say 'wasting' but I suppose it isn't wasting if it helps me find relevant things/prices) researching everything. I found some dates for farmers markets (with fresh flowers) near me. Most of them run from April through September so I can't really research their selection yet. But even if I end up buying them at a wholesale club/supermarket they won't need as much advanced notice as a florist. But heres to hoping the farmers markets work out!
Also, I 'feel' (this feeling has been wrong before) that I am losing weight. I think I can directly attribute it to watching eating contests on the travel channel every night. If I am right, I should patent that sucker! I lost 5 lbs watching a man eat a 5lb sandwich in 30 minutes! I also feel like I could do most anything if there is a free tshirt in it for me at the end.
I've also been looking for some old campy images to make our postcards for the faux guestbook. Here are some I found:
(found here)
I mean this is my favorite for obvious reasons. Such a weird creepy name for a scout group. Also, I just wish.... I mean if only we could figure out who it once belonged to....

Flowers Everywhere
(image from here...I like her bouquet!)
So I'm thinking supermarket flowers. Or Costco. Or farmer's market. Any advice from former brides out there/ anyone who has dealt with large scale flower needs? I think they may be cheapest. I can scope out selection. Not have to freak out about how my online shipment will look when it shows up. I realize I've bored you with this before but I found this is my new tangent. I found this breakdown on Real Simple:
Amaryllis: $6 to $8
Anemone: $1 to $2
Aster: about $1
Calla Lily: $2 to $5
Cosmos: about $1
Daffodil: less than $1.50
Dahlia: $1.50
Delphinium: $1 to $2
Gardenia: $8 to $20
Gerbera Daisy: $1 to $3
Gladiolus: $2 to $3
Heather (filler): less than $1.50
Hyacinth: $1 to $3
Iris: $1 to $1.50
Lilac: $3
Lisianthus: $1 to $2
Ornithogalum (Star-of-Bethlehem): $1 to $2
Orchid (Cattleya, by the bloom): $14
Peony: $4 to $7
Phlox: $1 to $2
Poppy: about $1.50
Ranunculus: $1 to $2
Stephanotis: $1 to $3
Sunflower: $2 to $3
Sweet Pea: $1 to $2
Tulip: $1 to $4
Viburnum (shown above): $3 to $6
Zinnia: about $1.50
Is that accurate? $14 for a flower! One?! I feel like I'm in over my head here.
Help!
Also, anyone not doing a bouquet? Should I even bother or just stick with table flowers?

shopping on ebay burns calories, right?
I was fully expecting to go home today and start cleaning the house for the upcoming holidays and also work out. Then I walked into my home and made the mistake of looking at my couch. That is where you will find me. Also, did I mention I just got up to clean and ate a skinny cow ice cream sandwich instead? Really?
Do you guys watch SNL? You know that segment in weekend update called "really?"? That's how I feel when I look at jcrew shoes (and when I go to clean and eat ice cream instead). Even on ebay I feel like their prices are exorbitant. Also, having spent under $500 on my dress, I feel like it would be silly to spend a good chunk of that on shoes as well. But that being said, I reeeeally want both these pairs of shoes (which would total just shy of $200 if I got them)
(image from here, ebay wouldn't let me use theirs)
(image from here, ditto above)
Here's some more I adore ( not j-stupid expensive-crew):
($39, kinda wish I could see the back)
($13 bucks?! what?!)
(betsey johnson, $54)
And a non-ebay related tidbit:
(image via youaremyfave...what a fabulous shower!)
I love image. It made me want to use some yellow tomatoes in our summer wedding.
And last by not least:
I love her bridesmaids' dresses
I want this whole wedding!

one small success!
(from this etsy shop)
So this weekend, I succeeded in buying a mini trombone/trumpet to use in the best man's boutonneire, even though it required me buying a super creepy stuffed angel doll in order to get it (I would post pictures but I can't find my digital camera cord to hook that up for ya). We also came into some wedding money which I will be using to buy some enamel flowers pins for the bridesladies/moms. Here are some of the ones I've been looking at (all from ebay):
Oh and I didn't post the sellers because I'm going to buy them and I don't want you to! Buwhahaha! That's evil laughter, by the way.

Happy Friday!
It's that time again! The best day of the week (well that is probably Saturday but still). What are you guys up to? I am probably doing more Christmas brainstorming, maybe some Christmas purchasing, figuring out Thanksgiving plans, maybe Sunday brunch plans and hopefully tonight is dinner and a movie. Maybe I should work on wedding stuff too?
Regardless of what you do, have a great one!
Bonus Link!
I cannot get over how much I love this. Hey bridesmaids, I totally want to do this for you!

Go here for more details and good luck!
SSL or sorry so late
To be honest the computer was not working this morning so that is why I did not post then. However, the reason I am posting so late now is that I was just wasting time on youtube watching these clips. Then I might have looking at wedding blogs which somehow dissolved into me looking at pictures of animals getting married aka this (you have to admit the "groom" has some pretty sweet glasses on). Alright, enough of this craziness. Here is some actual wedding stuff which made my heart skip a beat:
(image via ruffled)
I love the picture frame idea but what I think I love more is how cool that girl is. Badass tattoo, adorable dress, wicked glasses. Maybe she wants to hang out?
'Cause I really needed a reason to love Miss Pickles Press more.
( see the rest of the photos here)
This awesome collection of cake toppers. I was thinking about doing this as I stumble upon tons of different toppers I want. That or I can truly be a crazy person and buy them all and adorn each cupcake. No, the collection idea seems better.

Oh, Wednesday
I got nothing, folks. So please enjoy the following things I like (I apologize when my posts are more like cheesy clip shows than anything of substance... as I mentioned earlier I am in full holiday stress-out mode and have wasting entirely too much time trying to think of hilarious facebook statuses)
I've been looking at wedding bands for a while and I have narrowed down the two types I really like:
(from this etsy shop)
I love how personal it is and how it makes me think of law & order at the same time.
and:
(from this etsy shop)
I am a complete sucker for hidden engravings. Maybe I just like secret things?
And for the dudes in my life:
for dad:
(image from this etsy shop)
for the ring bearer:
(image from this etsy shop)
I love that the description calls these monkeys. I love them but only see bear. Am I right? P.S. I realized the pun after, but did laugh.
for the (future) husband:
(image from this etsy shop)
They also have green lantern, captain america and superman if you're so inclined.
Also, if when I have the money I go to buy these things and they are all sold out I will say 'screw it' and make them myself. Maybe.
