So as I've mentioned several times on this blog, we are not doing assigned seating. We're all adults (well except the kids) and we can find our own seats and be merry with whomever we sit with. But we are having table numbers. We had a couple different ideas on the signs but this is what I have done so far (I'm up to table 16 but here are some of my favorites; please keep mind I'll be resizing them too!):
and as a bonus, the sign for the buffet:

Oh, how much I love the Superman burger buffet!
ReplyDeleteOne warning re no assigned seating: at my first wedding, I skipped the seating chart. Well, my parents' neighbors plopped themselves down in the seats next to my parents at the parents/grandparents table, forcing our respective grandparents to scatter to miscellaneous tables non-family tables. This was Not Good.
I can't wait to see how it all looks together :)
ReplyDeleteIf the Groomie saw this, he'd be all over it.
Those are great! I also love Superman going to town on the burgers! But I wonder why Superman would make Jimmy Olsen marry a gorilla? Hmm...
ReplyDeletesarah- I never thought of that! thanks for the tip
ReplyDeletemiss c- thank you!
Lisa- I can't believe how soon your wedding is!!! Also, I am totally in love the superman image too. I am also obsessed with this comic book Lois Lane had that was basically a series of ways she was trying to marry superman but all the covers are super zany. As far as Jimmy Olsen? I don't know why but I love it
HAHAHAAH! Where do you find this stuff?!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sarah, a Superman burger buffet is amazing!
I want to come to your wedding!
ReplyDeleteP.s. Loving your profile pic - is that a photobooth photo?
these are awessoemeeee!!!
ReplyDeletei can't all this superhero-goodness come together
Angie - theres this amazing site called cover browser where you ca search all kinds of covers! I'm glad superman and his super eating is such a hit. by the way, totally my new excuse for eating a ton "keep them coming or I'll starve to death" followed by chomping sounds. thanks superman!
ReplyDeletemrs. T- Yay! Thank you! It is from a photobooth strip we took when we first started dating and our beloved copy had faded to yellow but then we found this one in a book because I am always using random things as bookmarks!
Rachel- Thanks! Hope I can pull it off :)
I'm so scared for you re: the no assigned seats! But I'm sure you'll rock it out. :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry too much about no assigned seats (though the family might be something to think about). Dad and Betsy did that for their wedding, with a buffet, and it worked out really beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI love these. What a creative idea.
