wedding 1

So yesterday attended wedding 1 .......and it was really really awesome. It was super emotional (I'm a crier anyways but this was one was killer I tell ya! I was a weepy mess...I'm sure the wine and rum and coke weren't helping). It was kind of eye opening to see a real wedding in the midst (lets be real here: towards the end) of planning one. And theirs was kind of perfect. They got married. They were happy, they cried. EVERYONE danced. The food was good. The drinks were good. It rained, no one cared. And you know what? I can't tell you what the place even looked like (and that is not because of the torrential rain; also it was at a country club like place to give you an idea) . I'm sure it was nice but all I remember are the people there. How the room was filled with so many happy, caring faces and isn't that what we all want? Our loved ones having an absolute blast, dancing, lots of hugs and cheek kisses and drinking and more dancing (P.S. Ryan was a dancing fool last night and I loved every second of it! I love that man so damn much). I am still on a happiness high from the day. Also, another reminder is that my feet still hurt because I spent the majority of the night wearing these suckers:

Yowza I know but ouch.

  1. Yay for dancing and crying and happiness.

Also, you are awesome for dancing all night in those bad boys. I just cannot do it!

    Tell me your secrets?!

  2. anna-
I think they forged with my feet :) I have no secrets. I almost fell like 30 times but I think people just thought I was tipsy

  3. Ow ow! HOT! You are gonna be a million times happier when your big day rolls around. Your cheeks will ache from all the smiling.

p.s. thanks for being my biggest cheerleader. Sometimes I get frustrated because I feel like I put all these things out there and then wonder who the hell is reading it anyway... I know you always will and almost every single time will say something awesome and make my day. So, to sum up, thanks for being a fucking rock star.

  4. Lisa- this just made my night! And of course I read your blog! Its awesome, you're awesome and anything for a fellow Lisa :)

  5. those shoes are worth the pain.

  6. Ouch! Glad you had a good time, but ouch.

I bought a pair of shoes for a wedding (I was a bridesmaid and we were supposed to find silver strappy heels) once that were so painful that I took them off as soon as we sat down and threw them in the trash on my way back to the car.

  7. Those heels and you didn't die? I count it a win! The one wedding I wore heels to ended up being a MASSIVE walk from the parking lot to the park through gravel, and when I got done doing that, dancing and what not, the metal spike was showing through the worn out heel. Blergh.

I love happy weddings! Yours will have the same effect, I'm sure of it.

  8. elizabeth- i think they were

sarah- ha ha ha i love that you actually threw them out. that is so great! :)

lizzie- that is serious dancing! also, thank you so much for your sweet words :)
